Learning lessons on the pathless path

Self esteem overcomes self devaluation, Subtle self awareness overcomes gross and subtle involvement, Self confidence overcomes low self confidence, Self conviction overcomes self doubt, uncertainty and indecision, Self dependence overcomes dependence, Self actualization overcomes inexperience or partial experience. Peaceful coexistence in fully self aware state overcomes chaotic involvement in worldly events. Stability derived from holistic understanding and self awareness overcomes events that might generate uncertainty, insecurity, fear and distrust.

Imbalance, healing pathway and it's purpose

Triggering event --> involvement and conflict perception (DHS)  --> SBS activates --> start of conflict active state pathway (nature and intensity of conflict determine the specific route in brain, body organ involvement, narrative and milestones encountered on the pathway. Individual perception of reality dynamically aligns with the narrative) -->  attention seeking (~energy demanding) process of mind relentlessly and blindly chases the endpoint morsel (primary and secondary types ~ light at the end of tunnel (learning and corresponding understanding and  awareness)] -->  incremental yet intimate experience of events (real and liminal level) on the road that are aimed at supporting the individual during the conflict active state and facilitating experiential learning. The latter ensures that the individual is not intimidated. Rather his/her perspective, perception and consequent response/silence is more mature when faced with a similar conflict i...

Direct perception

Direct perception without losing self awareness, Seeing things as they are, No disruption in the flow, No weakness,  No dependency, No detour, No lookup in the past, No speculation,  No assumption, No correlation, Infertile as it may seem, Yet is potent beyond imagination.  This awareness rises and ends with the moment, No carry forward, No residue, No stress. Frees attention to know the next moment in its entirety.

Experience yourself while you can

It is not to be collected and stored,  Not to be postponed at all, Not to be forgotten conveniently under a pretext, One does not get the opportunity again and again,  One may not get the opportunity again soon,  Grab the opportunity while you can, Experience yourself, while you can. Why settle for a glimpse when you can have the entire experience,  When it is just a small distance away,  When it is something that we have sought for millennia,  Do not let go of this precious opportunity,  Do not settle for a mundane experience while you can, Experience yourself while you still can.

Why pursue anything else ??

These fleeting moments of pure innocence and resulting joy slip away, Try all you can but one is unable to hold on to them. Soon replaced by memories receding over time, Hard to place and find, Few and far in between, Painfully missed, leaving a sense of profound loss.  Bliss of breath and the bliss of self, are the only two higher states, for they do not rely on any external agency. Bliss of breath, Near yet far away, In plain sight yet easily missed out.  A little effort is all it takes in the beginning. Soon it becomes effortless, Easy, accessible, persistent, Untouched by the passage of time, Opens the very door to the bliss of self. Bliss that nobody can take it away from you. Why postpone it for anything else? Why pursue anything else? Why indeed pursue anything else?

Mere presence

Mere presence, No urge for waxing-waining experiences, No urge to dominate,  No urge to control,  No urge to compete,  No urge to suppress,  No ego or fixation, The lower intimacy urges have fallen off,  Self-dependent, Knowing each other's core, Each settled within,  Being with each other in mutual respect,  Experiencing the moment and its potent silence together, Mere knowing and awareness of each other,  Mere being, simple, and unconditional, No fragmentation,  No momentary glimpse,  A fully mature gaze,  Living and experiencing harmony.

Remaining within

An effort to go out in the world and demonstrate or show off to others - one's Power, Energy, Ability is a fool's errand. The ego attempting to dominate over the self and other individuals. It leads to a profound imbalance within + loss of alignment between the body, mind and verbal communication. It is marred by unintended consequences. Further, it is difficult to return back to the original state of balance.  If one remains within, self-absorbed while living in the world, with no urge to show off, then one remains in balance. There is no competition with others. The only competition is with the self - How to improve and be better. How to efficiently sustain the state of balance.

A lotus in stormy waters

Reacting to an event without complete and holistic understanding results in short-term and long-term unintended consequences. Subsequent course correction is fraught with complications.  Similarly, at a physical body level, treating a condition without diving deep into its root cause and without understanding the entire emotional and mental model reinforcing that condition - does not deliver the intended outcomes.   Instead, prevention is better than cure.  After equipping with the right attitude and developing a holistic perspective through experiential learning of life skills, one is able to self-manage and self-regulate in the face of dynamic circumstances.  When we focus attention to self-development, we consciously invest in ourselves and lifelong holistic learning. Over time, and through lived experiences, wisdom flowers in the form of holistic awareness and understanding. While on the journey to attain ourselves, one is now equipped to gracefully navigate...

Lifelong learning process

There exists is a way, an end-to-end life process. One should embrace and face all conflicts and experiences on the dynamic, pathless, untrodden path. Be patient, slow down, maintain aloof attention and embrace silence. Strive to remain focused, undeterred, unfazed, watchful, uninvolved, detached. Do not give up even if lost. There is light indeed at the end of the conflict/constellation. Keep trying and one day, one may return to where one started from.  You shall meet yourself after learning what was needed. Stronger, leaner, wiser than before. Ahobhav  before embarking on the path,   Ahobhav on the path and  Ahobhav at the end of the path.

Parenting, childhood trauma and EQ 1

Self awareness, self regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills are important emotional intelligence (EQ) skills. Children are innocent and they express their emotions as they feel and experience them. They do not attempt to control or suppress their emotions. On the contrary they allow them to flow freely. Parents with who are yet to fully develop their EQ skills may be ill-equipped to face and manage (themselves and their children) this emotional expression (time, place, method, intensity). They may end up visibly upset or irritated themselves and knowingly or unknowingly choose a mental shortcut to suppress their child's emotional expression. This may occur due to one or more of following reasons: inexperience, low energy, busy schedules etc. Rather then spending time and effort in acknowledging, understanding their child's perspective, and nudge them towards learning self management skills like acceptance; parents frequently disagree, discourage, disregard their chil...

No dual duel

Non-dual and dual, Reality and narratives, As is and should be, Stable and conflict, Discriminatory intellect and ignorance, Holistic and partial/incomplete understanding, Self awareness and lack of awareness, Experience and inexperience, Wisdom and doubt, Unfazed vs push and pull, Detached vs favorable and unfavorable, Appropriate vs good and bad, Own bliss vs dependent and fragmented happiness and sadness, Direct and indirect, Choiceless and choices, Acceptance and preferences, Walking the path and knowing the path.

Fly off

When the perception of physical, financial and intellectual superiority dominates our eyes, When emotions and thoughts cloud attention and we lose sight of the breath, When mental beliefs, conditioning, patterns and blindspots dominate our perspective and perception, We forget who we are, our divinity, We feel vulnerable and weak, We feel lost and chase mirages, We struggle and seek ourselves else where, We blame and complain, Eureka moments, revelations and epiphanies abound, Yet we may fail to connect the dots, Failing to make progress we contemplate giving up. Self acceptance and forgiveness, Unlearning old habits, patterns and misbeliefs, Redirecting attention, Relearning and rediscovering the self, Learning to maintain self awareness while walking on the path, Incrementally inclining towards the self and remaining detached from everything else, Eventually finding solace within and rediscovering timeless truths and own bliss. Flying off when the wings are ready for the flight.

Breath awareness - knowing the path and walking the path.

Breath awareness is the first step towards holistical health and wellness. One may gather a lot of information about it, understand it superficially, and fail to make a breakthrough. Although it is a do it yourself process, it is an art that demands consistent and correct practice. Its benefits manifest gradually as one experientially understands its nuances and how and where to apply it. Posture : Sukhasana When : anytime, for starters begin at the beginning of your day - after waking up or end of your day before going to sleep. How : Pay relaxed and aloof attention to each incoming and outgoing breath.  Duration : start with 5 minutes and increase incrementally. Over time, rather than having a fixed time, incorporate it in your daily routine. Most importantly practice the art of taking a blissful breath regularly when experiencing conflicting or stressful events, observing the initial stages of stress (demand supply gap), emotional outburst or involvement in conflicting narrative...

Awareness

Breath awareness is the door to self awareness. When attention has aligned with incident events, emotions, thoughts (~deviated from self), one loses sight of ownself. Joyful breath awareness facilitates gentle return of aloof attention to the self amidst evolving circumstances. Consistent breath awareness facilitates it's firm grounding. One no longer gets carried away. Emotional awareness is being aware of emotions that emerge out of involvement in external and internal narratives. For example: most of us get carried away with emotional narratives in a movie. We experience a wide range of emotions ourselves - agitated, provoked, angered, pained, frustrated etc. All these have nothing to do with our lives. Yet we experience oneness with these emotions and get carried away. Emotional self awareness involves gentle and self reinforcing breath awareness while aloofly watching on screen emotions and all the time remaining detached within.  Mindfulness is being aloofly aware of thoughts...

Blindspot 2: Lack of holistic unconditional acceptance

Lack of persistent efforts in the waning cycle and holistic unconditional acceptance (all types of experiences) are key blindspots. A feeling of frustration or irritation sets in when one persistently experiences unfavorable circumstances or events. Its not uncommon to experience a rising urge to end the unfavorable (for example losing streak) or move to explore some other potentially favorable experience/alternative.  Let's take the example of a doubles table tennis or badminton game (Side1: Player A, Player B; Side 2: Player C, Player D). Repeated offensive and defensive shots are exchanged between player A and player C. As the rally progresses and with no breakthrough in sight, mental fatigue sets in long before physical fatigue. Player A attempts to direct the ball/shuttle cock now to player D to break the rally and explore the potential of defeating him/her. Frequently, a judgement error causes player A to play a miscalculated shot and lose the point. We experience simila...

Blindspot 1: Winning over others or defeating others

A game is primarily played for enjoyment. Players actively participate without any preference for any particular outcome (favorable or unfavorable). Being joyfully aware of each moment, enjoying the flow (waxing, waning), participation, becoming aware of and appreciating each other's skills, understanding skills gaps, taking playful delight, experiencing diverse scenarios, enjoying each other's company, and finally developing camaraderie as well as sportsmanship.  Playing with primary focus of winning at all costs or defeating others to prove self supremacy is primarily driven by a hidden blindspot -  inferiority and superiority complex respectively. These blindspots are subtle and hidden in plain sight. One aligns with them readily without realising it and loses sight (awareness) of the self (becomes one with them) in the process. A particular pathway is formed in the brain and becomes gradually dominant over time. Eventually energy expression through this pathway become...

Process 1

Components (~Morsels of sense organs) within the cue/event are perceived simultaneously at physical, intellectual, emotional, and mental levels. Usually in most individuals the mind dominates perception and response. In some mature individuals (neocortical development + self aware), the soul's awareness is able to aloofly observe the cue/event and does not mind any form of resulting outcomes. In the case of some seekers, they are unable or not always to see the cue/event as it is and embrace it's outcomes. In such cases the mind takes over. The mind processes, analyses, digests and evaluates the cue/event in light of past experiences/memories and using its limited understanding and experience interprets it. Aligning or believing in the partial interpretation results in gross and subtle involvement. It might also provoke the ego and if substantial then kickstart a conflict pathway. In addition to immediate energy discharge (reduction), it leads to varied types of responses/react...
