Blindspot 1: Winning over others or defeating others

A game is primarily played for enjoyment. Players actively participate without any preference for any particular outcome (favorable or unfavorable). Being joyfully aware of each moment, enjoying the flow (waxing, waning), participation, becoming aware of and appreciating each other's skills, understanding skills gaps, taking playful delight, experiencing diverse scenarios, enjoying each other's company, and finally developing camaraderie as well as sportsmanship.

Playing with primary focus of winning at all costs or defeating others to prove self supremacy is primarily driven by a hidden blindspot -  inferiority and superiority complex respectively. These blindspots are subtle and hidden in plain sight. One aligns with them readily without realising it and loses sight (awareness) of the self (becomes one with them) in the process. A particular pathway is formed in the brain and becomes gradually dominant over time. Eventually energy expression through this pathway becomes second nature for the person. It should be noted it is the mind dominating here. The soul does not primarily have any such preferences.

Case1: the individual aligned with such blindspots may not have the physical, intellectual, emotional, mental abilities to be able to actualize such a goal. Yet the person is driven/conditioned to achieve it.
This leads to demand-supply gap which in turn leads to a feeling of stress. If the person perceives this gap as a challenge and take corresponding self development efforts, it would lead to physical, intellectual, emotional or mental development. In the process and over time the person might succeed or fail as well as learn valuable holistic lessons about the game. If circumstances are favorable one might also become aware of the blindspot and end up learning the biggest life lesson as well as overcoming the blindspot. This would lead to a major transformation. On the other hand, if the individual perceives the demand-supply gap as a threat or is unable to achieve the goal in moments of weakness and ego dominance then he/she might end up making inappropriate choices. This reinforcement of inappropriate perspective or perception might lead to a fixation. The individual might end up directing all available energy and time to this goal at the cost of physical, intellectual, emotional, mental, family and social health. If the individual would have spent the same energy and time to learn and improve skills instead of defeating others/winning over others, some development might still happen. On the contrary, if there is no focus on learning, the individual might scheme with others and use inappropriate methods leading to further self-detriment. Downfall is imminent in such cases.

Case 2: if the individual aligned with such blindspots has the physical, intellectual, emotional, mental abilities to be able to actualize such a goal; he/she might succeed in the short run. It would lead to some momentary happiness and satisfaction. Soon, the mind and blindspot (winning over or defeating others) would overpower the will and would push for similar repeated experiences (~reinforcing loop). Directing consistent attention, effort and energy to such desires shapes the individual accordingly. The individual becomes egoistic and self-centred. Downfall is imminent in such cases. Soon, unintended consequences catch up and the individual falls under the weight of own ego.

How to overcome such workflows:
Becoming aware of such blindspots is the first major and life altering event. Self introspection and contemplation; Self observation during the play and after a win/failure; Counseling helps identify such blindspots.  When the individual becomes aware of the blindspot workflow unfolding, he/she should intentionally redirect attention/energy/efforts to more productive and learning experiences. Intentional attempts to unlearn, relearn (right perception, right perspective, nature of misbeliefs, self awareness) and persistent efforts at holistic self development are key.  Alternatively, if the individual is in a low energy state then maintaining silence and remaining in non-doer stare might help. Relaxation, Awareness development (starting from Breath awareness to moment to moment awareness), Unconditional acceptance and choicelessness, Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation also help dampen the agitation generated by the blindspot seeking attention and expression. Holistic consultation and Homeopathic /Ayurveda medicine (Panchakarma) might also help.
