Taste (Rasa): Pungent (Katu)

Potency (Virya): Hot (Ushna)

Qualities (Guna): Dry (Ruksha), Light (Laghu), Sharp (Tikshna)

Vipaka: Katu

Dosha: Vata kapha shamaka, Pitta vardhaka.

Action (Karma): Stimulates digestive fire (Agni deepana)
