Acceptance and self acceptance
Self acceptance and Acceptance are important neocortical qualities. Corresponding understanding and awareness develops over time through balanced experiential learning derived from life experiences.
Acceptance of the self lays the core foundation. It is followed by Acceptance of others (perception, perspective, mental models), Acceptance of life events; associated complexity of circumstances; their outcomes (intended and unintended); as well as one's role within them. These three are an integral part of self awareness development process. As one evolves through life experiences, self acceptance blossoms and flowers. It is an indicator of holistically mature perspective and inner wellness.
It is increasingly reflected in a person's real world activities - like interacting and communicating with others (before, during and after), perspective towards incident events (before, during, after); associated circumstances and outcomes. The impact of other's judgement reduces as one is now anchored to the self (self awareness) and is merely aware of and respects others perspective of events. One does not actively seek verification or alignment in perspective. Over time, there is a shift towards 'As is' perception of reality (unconditional acceptance).
