Achieving and maintaining balance
In the absence of appropriate understanding and awareness; Lack of use, misuse or excessive use of body, mind and speech faculties leads to subtle imbalances that evolve into grosser imbalances over time. Over active mind (Over thinking, obsessive thinking) combined with weak body and speech faculty, Overactive body (for example restless leg syndrome) combined with cognitively weak mind and speech faculties, Overactive speech combined with weak body and mind are some examples.
To elaborate further, feeding the mind with television, reliance on web content and mobile content might make one feel knowledgeable and equipped to take on the world. The absence of any associated practical real world experience and lack of physical ability become apparent when one is unable to behave appropriately in random real world circumstances. Such experiences serve as a wake up call. Disregarding such signals prepares ground for more difficulties in the future.
Many are unaware of how to achieve this elusive balance in the first place. Moreover, maintaining this balance is an art and demands patience.
Achieving balance:
1. Nourishment:
a. Food: fresh, balanced, nourishing and high pranic, high energy content while being easy to digest.
b. Environment: living in high prana surroundings.
c. Information: need to know basis, end to end and holistic in nature.
2. Sleep and relaxation:
a. High quality sleep (theta brain waves).
b. Meditation.
c. Nature.
3. Exercise: balanced in nature.
a. Ashtang Yoga.
c. Swimming.
4. Relationships: physical, emotional and mental intimacy.
5. Life skills: end to end expertise and experience; capable of delivering results.
Maintaining balance:
1. Relaxed and detached awareness and understanding of the evolving circumstances.
